Have you noticed that your pet’s coat does not look as shiny and healthy as it once looked? Does he lick and chew until he has bald spots or red, damaged skin? Does your dog or cat often have an upset stomach or digestive issues? All of these symptoms can be caused by allergies to foods, parasites, or environmental factors.

Parasite Allergies

Fleas and ticks can do more than spread disease and cause the occasional itch for some pets. Some pets are highly sensitive to parasites and can develop serious skin sores, poor coat, and sometimes life threatening infections.

Proper flea and tick control is even more important for these pets. We will work with you to eliminate fleas and ticks in your pets’ environment. This has the added benefit of protecting your family from becoming part of these pests’ food chain.

Environmental Allergies

On rare occasions, pets are allergic to other environmental factors such as particular plants or common household products. Blood allergy testing will help your veterinarian determine the source of these allergies and help you eliminate them from your pet’s environment.

Although allergies can pose a serious health risk to your pet, our staff and veterinarians will help you determine and eliminate the cause of your pet’s discomfort in order to quickly return him or her to top health.
