House Calls for Pets:
Modern Medicine, Old-Fashioned TLC
Many of us are not lucky enough to remember the days when doctors regularly made house calls. At Cleveland Park Animal Hospital, we believe that those good old days should have never ended.
In today’s busy world we often need help to make sure that all of our family is well cared for and can get where they need to be. Adding a trip to the vet to that list can sometimes be impossible.
There are also pets that do not travel well. Some pets are very frightened by travel, some are too old to travel safely. Others may just be too large to fit in the car! These are all great reasons to make use of our house call services.
House call visits are recommended for regular vaccinations or routine care. Emergencies, surgical procedures and complex diagnostics need to be performed at the hospital. This way we have full access to the equipment and laboratory only available in the clinical setting.
Another reason to consider a house call is the difficult choice of an end of life decision for an aging, ill or injured pet. If your pet has reached a point that euthanasia is the appropriate choice, it is usually much more comfortable for your pet if he or she can remain in the familiar setting of their home. Home euthanasia services allow you and your family to say goodbye privately without the added trauma of a trip to the veterinary hospital.
We understand that this is an emotional process and we are grateful to be able to offer our services in the privacy and comfort of your and your pet’s home.
“ Outstanding in customer service from the time you walk in the front door! ”
“ We want to thank Dr. Clark and the staff of the Simpsonville office so much. ”
“ They have been there for me and my fur babies for well over 10 years and I wouldn’t trust anybody else. I LOVE the staff and all the heartfelt love they have for the babies they treat. ”
“ I will continue to give whole-hearted recommendations for Cleveland Park to my reptile keeping friends and acquaintances, whether their animals are conventional pets, or, as in my case, not quite so conventional. ”
“ For over 20 years, Dr. Finley was my vet. I cannot begin to tell you what an amazing and caring staff they have. If there was an Animal Hospital Hall of Fame, this place would be enshrined as the top of the class. ”
“ Today, when my pediatrician’s office remained closed due to ice, Dr. Finley made a house call to help end our pet’s suffering. ”
“ They are committed to continuing education and have a well-trained, educated staff that not only knows the “hows” of veterinary medicine, but the “whys” as well. ”
